25 Aug Carol Duboc to perform at The Baked Potato, Sept. 18
Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Carol Duboc will perform at the Baked Potato in Studio City, California, September 18, 2015 to celebrate the release of her latest recording titled Colored Glasses. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Her award-winning accompanists – Jeff Lorber on keyboards, Jimmy Haslip on electric bass and Michael Thompson on guitar – will help Carol to make the evening one to remember. The concert will be streamed live on Carol Duboc’s website.
Carol Duboc’s creative process with Jeff Lorber resulted in Colored Glasses. The 10-track CD was a sort of ‘continuing therapy’ says Duboc, who will release the CD September 18. It is her seventh album as a leader and features musical contributions from such accomplished contemporary jazz luminaries as electric bassist Jimmy Haslip, acoustic bassist Brian Bromberg, drummer Vinnie Colaiuta, percussionist Lenny Castro. guitarists Paul Jackson Jr. and Michael Thompson, saxophonist Eric Marienthal , flutist Hubert Laws and horn arrangments by David Mann. Additional background vocalists also support Carol’s effort.
